hi guys

i am wondering were to look to get the specs to build a ef 4.0l 6cyilender motor strong enough to take a turbo can any one put me in the right direction to were to look

Start by looking through the forced induction section. Everything you will ever need to know is in there (along with some very experienced people who can give you help).

but to quickly help you out - depends on how much boost you want to run. If you just want a simple turbo setup the stock engines work very well. If you want to push lots of boost into it, try some EA acl race series pistons on a balanced bottom end. Next step after that is forged pistons, aftermarket or prepped stock rods etc etc.

Just dont skimp on engine management. You are far better off with a programmable ECU on a stock engine than a factory ecu on a forged engine.

say i run 5 psi will the standard engine hold and i would have to bye a after market ecu right

The engine should take 5psi no probs and u wouldnt need an ecu just a rising fuel reg.

They can can 10-15psi stock, providing you look after it.
