im sure the LTD seats wont fit as the rear seats are too wide. but you can fit the front seats i think and retrim the rear seats with the LTD velour.

Alfy is wrong, all the seats, and infact the complete interior except for the carpet will fit straight in. I have fitted a ZL Fairlane rear seat to an XF and it fits perfectly.

I've done the ghia conversion. Pretty straightforward if you've got the time (I did the windows, dash, cruise, central locking etc)

Should all be fine you will have to make up some brackets to hold the inner door handles to the XE doors, or run XF doors, but it's not hard.

wrong again! they fit but bracket requires a litl bit of drilling, and the side bolsters don't fit because the seats are mounted further back

Yeah the mounting points for door handles (interior) are different. The best bet is the xf (sedan not wagon or equivelant in fairlane )stuff as it will bolt stright in. As you aren't doing the electrical stuff everything else is easy.

Easiest way would be to chuck the doors on and holesaw the pillars for the wiring grommets, most of the door wiring runs under the carpet...hook the mirrors up to each other (3wires) and run earth on pillars, behind kick panels, the power wire can come from any 12V accessory wire...plenty to choose near the fuses. window wiring can be hooked to power and a relay pretty easy. that`ll get the power mirrors, windows, door trims and handles done piece of piss. the original electric locking mech will be a PITA, needs 4 relays...that`s why ghia/fairlane havespeakers in the doors.
the seats will fit from XFghia-ZL fairlane no worries. dunno about console or carpet...might need to fiddle with rear parcel shelf a bit too. roof lining is easier replaced by a trimmer...for 200 odd bucks, I would`nt bother with doin it meself.

You are gonna fit all the front/rear courtesy lights too...?
