Reshiming is what I needed tips and tricks for. Local shops wanted much much more than I thought could be justified to do it, with some help for a member here I did it myself without too much problem. All in and running sweat.

Backlash was done by dial gauge. I got the cones replaced and installed plus bearings pressed onto the carrier at the diff shop. The setup was done at home. I used gear fitting compound I borrowed from next door to do the gear messing checks.
