ive been on tempetyres, and am dissapointed with the wheel selection for pre-AU falcons...therefore ive found a set of 18*7.5 wheels made to suit AU-BF offset.
My understanding is that the stud pattern for an EF is the same as an AU and that the only difference is the offset, with the EF's rear wheels being too far in up under its a**. anyways i really want these wheels and i would appreciate some advice from people who know wats gion on with this. do i need hub adapters for the front and rear or just rear hubs....where can i get these adapters from and how much do they generally cost? is there any real disadvantage (besides it prob being illegal) or safety concerns with the durability of this set-up and/or will it change handling or anything like that. as there 18's do i need any other modifications to the car so they are not rubbing e.t.c....my guards are all ready rolled coz ive got fattys on stockys. and one last note...HOW SICK ARE THESE GONNA LOOK ON MY DROPPED EF! anyways cheers for reading and i would greatly appreciate advice from those in the know MAD FALC

But if u want these wheels and want to use adapters there are heaps on guys on here using them with no safety troubles at all. I say go 4 it. The thing is i only just heard from my local bob janes where im getting the adapters from about 7 guys in the last month have been done 4 them. So they recommend to paint them black so they dont stand out as much and dont drive like a dope you should be right.

yeah ive been running hub adaptors for the last 6 months or so without any probs. every now and then i randomly pull a wheel off and make sure they are still on tight, and none have worked loose.
i also bung on a set of brake dust discs, which do a s**t job of stopping brake dust getting on the wheels, but hide the hub adaptors rather nicely get a set for all 4 wheels tho, ull need them on the front, the rear wheels can go on without them, but will sit really far inside the gaurds and look s**t imo. if you've had your gaurds rolled already, you shouldnt need to do anything else. ive ot 18's on my car, and i havent had any real issues with rubbing etc

cheers for the replies....so i will need all 4 adapters, im assuming because on the front the actual wheel would not fit on the hub because it would hit inside first? and because the rears would look s**t....cool. how much did the adapters cost$ ? and where do you get them from, the wheel shops? and one last thing how wide can the tyres be so they still fit in?
cheers mad falc

cheers mad falc Off ebay u can get them 4 $250 and about $30 delivery. Or some tyre shops will do them. Some wont cause of the legalities. www.tempetyres.com.au does them. The place where i went to are gonna order mine specifically to wat i need.

Blingy wheels like that only look good if they're big. |
