have problems getting them flush with the rest of the door trim?

when u take the door trim off dont just put the lock button on the plastic locking rod. pull the plastic insert from inside the lock button(i think its clear plastic unlike te colour of the button itself) and put that on the rod(when the door is locked), then the outer lock part(the tibbe itself) should easily clip over.

took me a while to find this out.

Even easier, when you remove them, pull up gently, but with lots of force. The clear plastic bit should come out as you pull up, shut the door, lock it, then press the whole lot down over the rod. Have fun getting it off if you push it down while unlocked but :D
