I had 17" 235/45 Maxxis things on my XT and I hated them.. lost traction much too easily. They were the only tyre I could generate massive wheelspin off the line with (usually one, sometimes both wheels). but they made good smoke so I didn't have to put up with them long

Luckily mines a EF so it is gutless and wont have to worry bout that lol. I got so many good response from ppl using them that i still feel comfortable getting them.

Im running them in 17s at the moment, Havnt had any issues with them and the tread on both front n back is still in excellent condition....

Wheels did a tyre test a little while back and it came up fairly well. I think they are a soft compound, so good grip, but low tyre life. It was the MA-Z1 model, dont know about the others.

well if you end up getting the maxxis, i hope you like them, heaps cheaper than dunlop sports and just as good!

well I lie, not just as good, i looked at the speed ratings and the dunlops go to 270km/h and the maxxis mav1's are only good for 240km/h, but hey i doubt we are gonna get a falcon's going that quick...

I did a little look about just too check which ones were rated by wheels:

I have the MA-Z1 Victra excellent wet tyre got 29,000 kms out of them so far with still plenty of tread left get the MA-Z1 they are better than the MA-V1 http://www.maxxis.com/products/automoti ... ct_id=2759

Yeh the maz-1 are the wheels rated highly by wheels mag not the mav-1. Maz-1's are a bit more expensive. Only got $300 4 tyres so just get 2 mav'1's.
