im in melbourne, western suburbs wondering if anyone knows somewhere around here who wont charge me too much to install a starter, i already have a new starter, got under the car today to try and swap it over myself, but soon gave up... looks like an absolute bastard to swap over.. thanks

Its easy if you have a ratchet spanner, 12mm I think.

The bolts are 13mm, remove the top one first, then the bottom. When installing, install the lower bolt, then the top.
You should be able to reach around the starter and the car body to position the bolt, then guide a socket onto it.
And of course disconnect the battery as the + lead goes to the starter.

the bolts are actually 1/2" (12.34mm), got to give it to ford for that nice mix of imperial & metric bolts just to fcuk you round.
a 3/8 drive socket with universal joint & extension should see you through easy as piss.
Do it yourself you lazy bastard it's not that hard, & alot cheaper.
