im hopping it less that 4mm then i don't have to buy the camber kit save me over 100 and it would do the same job

I got a wheel alignment machine at work (Appentice mechanic) i just don't know how far i got to shim the top arm to fix my camber thats why i ask how far people have shimmed, to see if im able to do it without buying the kit

Lowered mine with Dobinson lows and used all the shims except far a 1.5mm shim. I would just spend the $120 and put in a kit as im sure 1 of your tyres would cost more than that.

Regardless of tyre wear, the camber kit will get
the front set right and thus it will handle properly and safely. The advice I had regarding camber kits was... For Lows: Get one anyway For S'Lows: Definately get one |

CAMBER KITS ARE S**T!!! they put all the stress on one or two wheel nuts and caused my cousin to lose a wheel at 100kph coming on to a freeway!

ROFL Love to hear the logic behind that one.

What was all that about 2 wheel nuts, meant to be 5 isnt there lol. All E series have camber kits otherwise how is the camber/castor set.

ROFL Love to hear the logic behind that one. Hahahahaaa.... Tool (t66...).... Camber/caster kits are just replacement upper arm brackets with longer threads to accomodate shims to properly adjust the camber / caster. Therefore, every e series falcon has one. Only difference is the length of thread! Tell your cousin to tighten his wheel nuts more! |
