most cheap a55 injector cleaners are ethanol based, what do you think is in your petrol these days ? it's as good as an octane booster. You get what you pay for.
I use "Lucas" Injector cleaner which neutralizes low sulphur fuels, cleans injectors & is environmentaly friendly it's also used in drip systems for lpg & high performance engines & also as a lead replacement for leaded vehicles. Even checking through spark plug holes you can tell the difference, after a few treatments you have shiny new pistons! running in tank also proves benificial for performance, (as seemingly do ethanol based cleaers) through cleaner combustion & friction reduction. (unlike octane boosting ethyl based substrates)
