leather was not a factory option in an xr until the au, and black was not in the efs or els.

Actually im pretty sure leather was an option on the later model EL's mate.. Seen one with leather before, near certain that it was factory.

Nah, I think some dealers organised retrimming of the sides of the seats, kinda like the Sprints - I've seen this once before.
They definitely NEVER had black seats, black interior came in the AUs.

If some guy has black "leather" interior in his el xr, he's either put AU interior in, or it's this stuff http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LEATHER-SEAT-VL- ... dZViewItem.

if you go for completely black interior it'll look fine, just paint the whole dash and door trims black too.

ELGT is as close as you got to a leather interior in a Falcon body. It has the black dash, black belts, black switches, with black/grey leather.
Definatly no leather option in EL XR range. Was first introduced as an option in AUII in XR's.

Think ill just put AU leather in. Get the dash painted black. Suppose Ill airbrush somethin on it as well.

Does anyone know if the AU Centre Consoles bolt straight in? Or do i have to paint that as well?

^ now i can help you, the AU console is not moulded with the AU dash, so if you were to fit an AU console to an EF it would look very out of place. AU consoles come in either black or grey so it is up to you wheather you paint it or not
