I would like to use an ED XR6 ECU to control the eng and auto in an EB I, the EB I has a Trans Control Module seperate to the ECU so what is required to be able to use the XR 6 ECU in the EB I to control the eng and trans. I will have a smartlock over ride module shortly so the smartlock is not an issue.

thanks.

My cousin did the same mod, but he used a EL computer and went to the trouble of hooking up the BBM on the intake as well

its not hard, just takes some time to do it.

I'll try to get him to put up a diagram (i think its just 7 wires that you have to cut into)

Thanks, read your reply much appreciated, was just seeing if there was another option like changing engine bay looms as I'm not sure about the wiring diagram.

his was auto

from memory he cut some wires from the transmission control and then lengthen them and put them in the conrosponding pins on the EL ECU (which combines both engine and auto ecus)

if yours is manual - i think u have to fool your new computer otherwise it runs in limp home all the time

i'm having trouble getting him to answer the phone at the moment

still cant get a hold of him, but if you look in the tech docs- u should be able to figure it out, it tells you what wires/pins are which

I have an auto and have looked at the tech docs I think I now have enough information to try it, just need to learn to solder then I will give it a go.
