They're illegal if you're talking about the Laws of Ford: Subsection, Not beeing Rice

It's funny you talk about A pillar pods being "Ricer". Autometer (an American company) was one of the first to come up with the idea properly - mustangs are always full of them because of the LOW QUALITY of the standard Ford guages. No good having an oil pressure guage if it is resistored down to slow the needle swing - and you don't find out that your oil pressure has dissapeared until your lifters start chattering.

saw a typhoon today and they have 2 guages mounted in/on the top of the dash above the centre air vents, looks pretty good, you could custom something like that

I've got lights hooked up to all my gauges so when a reading is to high or low I get a warning light and then I can take a quick look at my gauges to see what the problem is or if I'm racing I get straight off the gas then look for the problem.

Shane Yeah, thats a very very good point. I notice the oil pressure needle floating on mine, depending on battery voltage. The oil pressure reading from the sensor is static, but Ford dont regulate the voltage going to the sender, so if you have a very flat battery, or a lot of battery load on an EA-EL (Dunno bout AUs) you will read low oil pressure levels.... Likewise if there is no load, and good battery voltage, then you can be reading reasonable pressure. Doesnt inspire much confidence does it
