Hi, Im trying to use the shifter and surround from either a BA or Magna TJ MY04 model in the AU. Whilst I can mechanically get the shifter bar to change from P to R and then through to 1 (I managed to make a little notch inside the BA bar to push down on the rod and the TJ shifter was simple to make it push), I cant seem to get any form of electronics figured out to get the tiptronics going.

Does anyone here have a wiring diagram or has anyone attempted to connect tiptronics to a E series tranny or AU tranny. I understand the BA 4 speed is the same as the AU 4 speed, I just dont get how it all interconnects. If anyone could shead some light on this it woudl be appreciated.

I think Dellboy put a shifter of this type into his EA.
Try a search on that.

Pretty sure hes they guy who wrote a majority of the technical docs, and is responsible for the starting of this website...

Hmmm.... It seems like the way i have hooked up the TJ shifter (Im abandoning the BA one as i like the way that push up does a up shift and down dows a downshift). My issue is that instead of actually changing the gear, it simply acts as 1,2,3,D and then will continue into N,R,P which has almost f****d the tranny when i put the car into R and then freaked and put it into P at 40km/h.

i have done a very simple wire and resistor system (which im sure is wrong and will need to be ditched). Please help, getting desparate now lol.
