just buy and new Switch from FORD
to install move the drivers seat all the way back and stick you head in under the dash near the Brake pedal and up the top you will see 2 wires going into this wierd thing, well you need to remove that and then pull the Pin out of the back of the switch then remove the switch and replace it. Simple

I've got a problem with my brake lights..
Normally when you first touch the pedal the brake lights will come on but for some reason i have to push it in a bit before they come on. I've just changed the pedal box but afaik it shouldnt matter? |

Gotta adjust the boxcar brake switches glenno.
Different pedal box may have the pedal sitting in a slightly different spot, or when you put the switch in it didnt get put to the same spot. There are two switches, one a vacuum one for cruise, the other is for brakes. They just screw in or out IIRC, closer or further from the pedal. And the best thing... they dont fail every 6 months

Spot on steady To adjust it so the brake lights aren't always on (problem I just fixed, now I look and feel like a pretzel ) adjust by screwing into the pedal box (towards the rear of the car) and vice versa if they aren't coming on at all. Word of warning though: thread on switch is plastic, thread on pedal box is metel=very easy to crossthread (especially when jammed in under dash
