 during my engine blow up the cam has been damaged a little they tell me it needs to be cleaned up so how much would change it to stage three from stage two

if it is a wade then it just a regrind of that stage 2 cam.. or a straight swap over same with any cam if you have say a Crow cam stage 2 and u wanted a stge 3 it be a straight swap over or do u want to know how to install it?

Na due to the lack of oil it has been marked the mechanic said it needed to be linished (spelling) was wondering if that would change the profile that much to say stage three, its a crow stage 2

You probably will find the cam journal not the cam lobe got damaged. This will not affect the profile in any way.

well if it just needs linishing ( a fine type of filing/polising ) then the cam will be fien to get a stge 3 u will need a new cam and a vernier cam gear
