Just wondering what the peak power for the stock front 6" speakers is?

I think it is around the 60W mark.... but I had closer to 200w going through mine for about 12 months and they held up very well!

what model of car? the ones out of my el ghia were absolute crap! they had a choke inline to cut the bass as the cone was so thin and flimsy. as the guy said 60watts (PEAK) !!!! just replace them with some half decent ones.

depends on your personal taste, for me it's JL Audio, Boston Accoustic and Dynaudio..... not in that order mind you

well the original four inch in an EA are 8watt rms (i know different speaker) but they are not very good. i would say 20wrms, no more than that. i know my brothers SP20 has 6X9s and they are 25wrms. thats how much my 4" type s are. I reckon ford should one day put more money into there audio systems. there F@#%&n idiots for that.

Jaycar response are very good valve for money, the 6" split ones, they have a cross-over built into them, 12/dB
Installed them in many cars, and had people very happy with them! |
