Just wondering, would having 225/60/15 on the rear and 205/60/15 on the front be alright for Turbo Blade rims? It's just that at the moment, it's the easiest/cheapest option for me as the tyres have been made availible pretty cheap. I know they will fit, it's just the size difference from front to back - what will it affect, if anything?

The fronts will be under size and under load. You can use 205/65X15, 215/60X15 and 225/60X15. Thet must be the same size on each axle and the rears must not be smaller than the fronts.

Are you saying that I can't use wider tyres on the rear? Like because I have 225/60/15 now, I need to chase down two more of those rather than put on 205's at the front? |

u cant have 205/60 its to small contact with the road, u need 215/60 u can have the rear at 225 and front 215

Stock Turbo Blade rims came out with 205/60, I'm only asking wether or not it matters (for like cornering or just general handling or legality whatever) if I can have different width tyres on the front compared with the back, and wether or not a difference such as this will be safe? |

They came out with 205/65X15 and you can have wider on the rear than the front.

Why don't you have the same front and rear, so you can rotate the tyres to get longer life out of them. You only have one size to find then.

As Matthew wrote, the factory tyre size for
the turbo blade rims is 205/65/15. The 205/60 figure you've written is probably a typo. From personal experience, I would not recommend putting 225/60 tyres on the turbo blades. As those rims are only 6.5" wide, the 225 tyre is quite baggy when fitted. Thus the side walls move a sh#t load under hard cornering. Go for a maximum of 215/60 for that rim. Also, as previously mentioned, its best to go the same size all round for balance. By the way, whats your spare tyre size...?? Put this in the equation as well, so as the car isnt too out of whack if you need to fit the spare. |

Thanks for the info, it's been a lot of s**t around with these rims, I have been through so much s**t it's unbelievable lol. At the moment I have 225's fitted to (what I will use for) the rear until I get enough money (yes I'm that short of cash) to get the smaller rear ones. My mate is going to give me some good condition 205/60/15's that I will use for the front and so when I get more cash, I'll buy the other two and chuck them on the back instead of the 225's. So basically, having the 225's on the back will only be a temporary solution (as they're already fitted and ready to go). Thanks for the replies guys. Michael |

The 205/60 is underload (99% sure they are) and there fore illegal.
