how long is a piece of string,,there is no answere to your question except opinions,,i personaly just use the recommended spark plugs and what ever leads are available at the time.
i do however make sure the leads are 8mm or 10mm.

so they wont ware out to quick and you won't get cross fireing.

Ngk iridiums cost me about 25 dollars each for my ed xr6.They have given me no problems.Suppose to last for 100 000 kays at least and they easily do that.Eagle 9mm leads are good too.
