Hey guys,
Can your wheel alignment be knocked out but simply changing your wheels? I changed mine yesterday and now my alignments out bad. And i didnt hit anything either. Thanks. Trav.

Wheels wont change the alignment but if they are worn differently to the previous tryes it may pull to either side.

After say a few hundred k's chech for abnormal wear on the shoulders of the tyres. If both insides are scrubbing you have toe out and if both outsides are scrubbing you have toe in.

your tyres mate happened to me a while back.Changed the rear with the back and was all over the shop.

Yeah well with the new invisable 2nd axel on the BA/BF range you have to change the invisable tyre with the visiable one. Back on topic. I got a set of mags off another car and i put them on and it felt like the wheel alignment was way out and that the car seems to sway more then usual. Got new tyres, balence and wheel alignment and it was all good again.

When you changed your wheels, were the
wheel/tyre sizes different...?? My "guess" is that a new alignment would probably be needed, particularly with the camber setup for a wider tyre..?? |
