For some reason the accessory power is constantly on, has the unit been removed before?

If you can remove the unit and test the accessory power it should go off with the ignition, if not its probarbly worthwhile investing an a new HU. If only you were in melbourne id help you out.

come to think of it i think that the accessory power comes via a relay off the ignition, ill have a look in my manual tonight for you and see. will get back to you. it could be a stuck relay even.

Sounds like a problem with the unit itself, if you have had no new electrical items installed in the car recently then the old head deck might need an upgrade.
