Gidday all, hoping someone might shed some light on how to remove the climate contrl unit from the dash of an NL Fairlane.

It appears the backlighting bulb has blown and needs replacing but I'll be buggered if I can work out how to remove the unit to get to the bulb.

Any advice appreciated and if this has been covered elsewhere please feel free to redirect me, I did several searches but really didn't come up with anything.

many Thanks

you need to remove the dash facia first, then it should be 4 screws holding the unit in - that's if it's the same as the pov pack like mine

you need to remove the surround covering the cluster/stereo/trip computer etc - there are 3 screws at the top of the cluster, one on either side of the steering wheel, and 2 (from memory) when you remove the ash-tray surround.

then you'll need to pop off the surround, undo all the buttons, and you'll find 4 screws for the climate control unit. once you've undone them, pull it out & you'll have to undo the 2 x plugs, as well as the vacuum hose as well :)
