Yes, been millions of threads, but I just have a quick question.
When I'm done with the head gasket, i'm finallying fixing my suspension up. I'm thinking lows now instead of superlows, because I want comfort and sensibility. Now do I have to get shortened shocks, or just the replace with something similar to what the car came with? Or are both acceptable, but one better for ride quality? If the price isn't that big a difference, I'll go for superior ride quality. What struts would be good for an EF Mont? Keeping in mind I was a firmish, but comfortable ride. So I'll need lows, struts, boots, cambering kit, what else? Guess sqay bars are a worthy investment too, correct? Cheers.

to find out what springs you will need, you have to read the little plate... to get to it, you need to jump in the boot, and close the lid (seeing as the plate is glow in the dark) goodluck..

Replace the springs & shocks at the same time, then go from there. Monroe GT gas are just fine for the money.
Bigger sway bars are good too, give it better handling in the twistys. Check all sway bar bushes too, and the Strut bar bushes. How many K's on it? How are the balljoints?

I have EL XR6 springs & shocks all round on my 88EA, they were alright.
The GT gas are pretty good for the money, unless you wanna go Koni adjustables, or Bilstein, or spend more doe on Tein, if you can get them.

I got the GT GAS all round in my EF and i found that i couldnt corner some corners too fast cause the road was too bumpy. When i got into the XF Ute with leafies i could corner the corners i couldnt in the ef...i did them much faster, like 20-35km. Other then that the GT Gas are a decent shock.

Thanks lads, I'm guessing these Monroes are pretty cheap by the sound of things.

Im using king springs SL on front and SSL on back with shorter ultraride shocks and 18 inch rims. Ride is firm over bumps, but smooth on good roads, and not bumpy from the rear.
