I've been doing the ring around to get quotes for nes shocks fitted to my EA fairmont. Prices are all over the place so can you please post how much you payed to get you sports shocks fitted.
So far Pedders Sportsryder shocks x4 fitted and aligned -Osbourne Park- $650 -Cannington -$898 Whiteline -Wheels world in Osbourne Park- (from) $910 KYB WA Suspensions (Osbourne Park)- parts-$330 fitted-$565 so at the moment WA suspensions seems to be the go, but I still think it's a bit high. |

just get the parts...you can EASILY put them in yourself...i mean there's like 12 bolts for the whole job. you will need to move the springs over from the old front struts to the new ones...but that's very easily done with some spring compressors, (approx. $40 from autobahn) and you do'nt need to get them aligned if you are not changing the front springs.

HELL no. just look under the car and see find the bottom of the shock, and there's ONE bolt there. just undo that, (18mm, stupid number) then drop down the back seats and you'll see a kinda hub, should be 4 bolts round the outside with one big one in the middle, just undo the middle one and the shock will literally fall out the bottom of the car, then just put the new one in the same way.

How old are your springs? You may be better off puting in new springs too. Another little mod is to put later model upper spring plates/mounts. Ones from an ED to EL. I put EL ones in my 88EA. You can use the EF-EL shockies in it then, they have bigger shafts. I have EL XR6 springs and shocks in F & R.

From onlineperformance? if you buy the parts, there's probably a really nice fordmods member who'll do it on a weekend morning for a slab or something. its not a big job. and dont get pedders to do it. i had them INSTALL a set of front springs and do a wheel alignment. $75 for the alignment and $175 for no s**t 20 MINUTES work popping the springs out and replacing them!!! and scratched the bumper on the test drive and didn't see it till i got home. f**k rip. did a good job tho with the alignment. best bet is to get a member here to do it cheap, and get pedders to do an alignment and $14 safety check. that way the insurance goons are happy that the thing is at least road worthy
