So I'd say it would be obvious that you have check that lead. If you removed the lead from the dissy and left the lead hanging loose, the lead may have shorted and fried the coil.

i think that could be it madmax ill replace it today and see it looks hard to get to is thir a trick to geting it out thanks

Best way to get to the coil is from underneath. Come up from under starter motor.
