There is a bad smell of stale water in the car, I assuming it is the AC however I cannot locate the drain hole under the car to check it isn't blocked.
Any help or other ideas of where the smell could be coming from would be appreciated. Car : 1997 Futura Thank you! |

drain plug is on the left side on the firewall, from memory about where the firewall starts to roll back under the car

Hi Bigbell,
Thanks I found it, Took it to my local garage to get the car lifted. Really isn't in an obvious place! My sound proofing was covering it which didn't help. -Adam |

I've been meaning to ask this for ages, I have the same problem. Do I have to fill it back up with anything?

hi
its not really a plug its just a drain hole for the condensation that builds up in your air con..but they do clog up with dirt sometimes.. here is a pic from the top.. there is a small pipe underneath this..

another place ACs generally tend to leak is on the firewall where the passanger puts his feet, just peel back the carpet and you can see
