Hey guys, just curious... im changing over my cluster for a second time due to unrelated problems. But im wondering if anyone has attempted to change the EA-ED S-pack cluster to backlit? with the face off, it looks rather easy... Solder wires to pos and neg of the light socket, mount LED's into the back of the cluster under the face..

Any ideas? i think a lot of people would be interested in this

they are infact backlight,

its just the facelighting dominates the backlighting

the needles will be hard, i have attempted to fit EF needles but gave up.

instead i just fitted a EL dash

yeah i saw that there are gaps in the globe holders to cast light through the back, but using blue LED's on a white cluster face while shining from the top makes it very difficult to read the cluster. has anyone found out if an EF/EL cluster actually fits in to replace the EA-ED one? and any major changes to wiring?
