Hey guys, next week I will be installing my new cam! About bloody time since I bought it about 3 months ago.

Now, i've already got a noisy lifter which needs to be replaced. But...Will i need some high performance lifters for this cam or will i just need normal lifters. (seeing 12 lifters at $55 each is already expensive.....12 high performance lifters are gonna cost a f**k.)

Help me out guys, whats the worst that could happen by using normal lifters? Also, Jonno...if you're around, what lifters did you run when you had this cam?

cheers all, no urgency in this post.....well, no too much.

Try bursons or something for your lifters, from memory I got mine for $16 each.

i got the lifters in mine replaced when i changed my cam to the wade 1004-14, just standard lifters cause the old ones were rooted. I dont think you would need performance lifters, usually with big cams you have to change the springs and timing gear.

scott can get seals piecea piss..

mine are quiet as now (werernt noisy b4 cam change) but yeah.

save some cash mate, do the seals, see how it goes.. once the cams in we'll suss it out and see how it goes, its pretty easy to change em over again iff necessary.. + springs etc if ya need.

i reckon it'd be fine..
