I have two 30 amp fuses installed, one 4 the air con and 1 for the twins 2 come on when she get hot.Doh! Well they're both popping.More so the fuse when both come fans come on.I am guessing s**t fuses, underpowered alternator or a bad earth or the fact that i am cranking some serious BASS!Let the car over heat ,gotta have sound!!!!No seriously is there a alternator upgrade?Mine is only standard 70 amps i think? But reconditioned when i did the fan install. Any help would b appriecated.C u on the road peoples. Thanks ahead. |

cant imagine ur alternator would be the reason ur fuses would blow. a fuse blows due to an overload of current, not lack of. how did u wire up the thermos? does the fuse blow as soon as they turn on intermittantly?

I wired up the harness one fuse to the fans coming on together and one for the a/c.I put in 2 40 amps today and so far no blown fuses.Hmm i know but i read in here that it was a 30-35 fuse that u use.And u cant buy 35 amp fuses. They have been blowing at all different times.I am hoping this will fix. Also redone earth and that wasn't the problem.

He's not saying redo the earth he's saying the wiring is earthing somewhere it's not meant to, i.e between the fuse & the fan. Make sure everything is insulated properly as vibration may cause an intermittent short circuit.

Did you put the fans in yourself?
if so did you use relays? if not thats your problem, the fans upon start up are drawing alot more than 30 amps. |
