I have an xg ute that has a strange problem
when you run the heater or the air conditioning and you are loading up the ute ( going up a hill etc ) i lose air flow out of the front vents and it changes to the windscreen vents. When i back off it goes back to normal Any ideas on what this could be? Last edited by xf_man on Fri Jan 26, 2007 6:01 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

I've been noticing this on my car a little bit as well.
When the car is under some load, the fan backs off a bit. |

Behind the 4 rotary controls, you'll find a check or one way valve (should be black and have around 3 hoses to it. Make sure it is actually sealing in one direction.
If it isn't, the vaccy reservoir is tied directly to engine vacuum, and on wide open throttle, they'll be no reserve, so hence it defaulting to the screen.
