I need to redo the suspension in my EL. I'm after a smooth, but not too spongy ride. Any recommendations on what to use? Monroe GT Gas shocks? Might lower the car while I'm at it. Would appreciate feedback.

mate i swear by monroe shocks but have just replaced mine with ultima shocks and they are just as good if not better, they are a shorter stroke shock which work great with my super lows, and the cost less than monroe's and come with bumpstops in the box, don't know retail price but trade price were $145 for the front pair compared to standard length monroe's at $165 a pair and about $30 for the bumpstops you can't go wrong

Put some bigger sway bars on it, for the twisties, so it will handle better.
