Just wanted to find out how many different shades of grey the EL dash surrounds were available in.
I am in the process of installing a trip computer in my futura and trying to find out the correct shade of grey is very daunting especially when trying to buy off ebay. You cant get a good enough photo or the seller is very vague with the description.
My understanding is that there is a dark and a light shade of grey.
Any help or some sort of direction would be great.

EF & EL had different greys, but within EL there would have been only the one (Mako Grey?)

Would there be any sort of information base or data source which i may be able to access in regards to specs of the ELs?

Contact a Ford dealer. If they're any good they can tell you all you need to know and do it for free and with a smile.

The grey surround that the trip computer goes in is the same from EF/EL.

You will find that the dark grey bits and pieces of an EL actually have 94DA and 95DA part numbers on them, so same as EF.

Its the carpet and the vinyl on the dash thats a different colour.

You will also find that an EL dash is a mixture of colours, and thats how they are from factory... My trip computer doesn't 100% match the surround. The PAB cover doesnt match the rest of the dash.. And the dash doesnt match the doors... Yay - Go Ford!
