howdy are they a barstard to change them? they are pretty much rooted on the front of my car, theres a fair bit of movement.
i got all the others changed not too long ago but didnt do them (silly me) if not how much approx would it cost to get them replaced? i think theres 4 of em cheers fellas

They are easy to do. You make sure you put the shims back where they came from, use a rubber band to hold them in place whilst reassembling.

yeah as cjh said, they are pretty easy.
just crack the upper balljoint, and undo the bolts holding the arm to the brackets. This will keep the shims in place - so no need to worry about them. You will probably have to drop the top nuts of the strut though to give you room to pull out the bolts though.... Cheers |

I do it a bit different to that way. Just a hassle getting the bolts past the springs.

yeah thats why i drop the upper strut mount. Gives you just enough room to slip the bolt out. Though it can be quite fiddly, i've done it heaps of times that way now, so its easy as.
It might be a bit easier your way cjh, well at least for the drivers side, but the passengers side is a pain unless you can comfortably get under the car and undo the upper brackets. |

sorry guys - i relised i was talking about au on upper arms. CJH is right, and you need to pull the brackets out to change the bushes. No need to disconnect the upper balljoint
