Can anyone point me in the direction of a ratchet shifter that will work on a fmx?
Or does anyone have a t-bar, with the saddle thing for sale?
Ratchet prefered.
I cant find a brand that will do it

B&M make one for the FMX tranny. The Mega shifter is a rachet type, with a cable to shift the linkages. When installed correctly, they work very well.
Rocket industries brings them into the country.

What exactly does the megashifter allow you to do that you can't do with the stock shifter? My fairlane had one in it on the FMX before I bought it.

The megashifter can be used on 4sp autos too, be it Ford or a GM product, Chrysler etc. They have a ratcheting mechanism, but you gotta what out you don't go one shift too far, 'cause thats nuetral, made that way so you can bump it into N if you stall it, and get a quick restart.
