Hey guys,
as the name says im thinking about swapping out the old 4.0liter for a 5.0liter. I want an injected v8 and this is the info i have sourced so far... Apparently the easiest v8 to fit in to my ED is the 302Windsor? Just need the v8 mounts. And i can get this motor out of an ef or el because thats the easiest?. Then all i need is the wiring loom and the ecu... Is all that info correct? Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

Also if there are any other threads on this conversion can you please post up the link as i couldnt realy find anything cheers

Jamin

Sounds like a cool mod, good luck with it. Am I right in saying the V8 is more reliable than the I6?

not to sure about the ed's but when i did mine (el) i got a complete ef wreck and ended up using almost every thing, you'd be better off getting a ed motor, trans, loom etc so that way you know all the plugs will plug in.

Mre-50L and Waggin have done this in a EB they maybe of some help to you.

No you need to use the k-frame as well, better off using parts from an ED or EB series 2 because all other 5.0ls have different wiring looms.
