Hey guys,
My falcon seems to shudder alot when accelerating While driving I will start to speed up and the car will act like it is not getting any power to the engine Ie.. Feels like the care is not getting any power, the car will shudder take my foot off the pedel and it will stop. Currently the car needs a service and a new Exhaust as this has a hole in it . I have Replaced the Ignition leads and spark plugs, I have Replaced the Fuel filter twice one was not sealing correctly, I have even replaces the Water pump ( due to a leak that i had) Does any body else have any ideas |

check all fluid levels and do that service. Take it to ford and get the trans fluid checked because you cant do it on a EL trans.
What does it idle like? and what happens when you rev it in park/netural?

uni joints stuffed maby, tailshaft outta balance, wheels outta balance? that would be my guess

no dipstick on el autos ?

Yeah mate, no dipstick on autos since 2/3-96, thats series 2 EF.

Also check dizzy cap and rotor, for burning, the carbon brush wears out.

hey thanks so far
the car idles fine and drive fine until you put your foot on the accelerator and then it will shudder and loose power. The only things i think it could be are: The Exhaust The Fuel Pump the fluid levels are fine although i have not had the auto trans service since i bought it 2 years ago The wheels are aligned and I have new tye so it wil not be that as it is not the wheels that are the problem it is the accelerating any body else ?? |

what bout drain/fill plugs like manuals ?

This Problem will onnly occur when i give the cars some power other than that the car will drive fine idle fine only when i give her a little bit of power it will shudder like it is not getting any fuel or its missing yet
The only things i think it could be are: The Exhaust The Fuel Pump Any Ideas |
