hello i have a el falcon and the power sterring hose is leaking and is lose but the bolt is tight do i need a new hose or can i fix the one on thir thinks

depemds on where it is leaking from. sometimes you can get away with replacing an o ring. other times you will have to replace the whole hose

another option to replacing it with a EL hose is to fit an ED hose as they are a bit cheaper than the EL version and are not prone to leaking..

The hose is loose because that's the way it is designed - it is meant to be able to swivel. It's best to remove the hose and replace the outer nut, which has an o ring inside, as well as a c clip to lock it in place. Make sure the hose end isn't worn badly, as the c clip won't click in properly - so when you fit it, it could pop loose when running, meaning the oil capacity gets spat out in about 10 secs.
And yes, it is a bit of a bastard to replace.
