These cars must vary their power so much guys, because (I initially bought the ef off ken) when i bought the ef, it was quicker then the ba was... by about 3 car lengths at the time - auto as well (stock, dual fuel, KandN filter)
kens was stock, nothing done, woolies s**t fuel.
not that way now with the manual, bout even off the line, yet to go to willowbank for a proper run.

flash tunes are well worth it, as they should improve your fuel economy due to the engine management not running the computer RICHer than richy rich at wide open throttle etc. should make the car more drivable with more usable power.

you think a stock ef will beat a stock BA by 3 car lengths?? get your hand of it mate.

well, he was running woolworths s**t fuel. i was running premium unleaded, he was not using power mode, just auto (econ)
and he had just bought the car, so it was probably used to just putting around.
It is a way different story now however.
you can ask ken if you want but...
there are a lot of ef's on here that pwn ba falcons too mate. FYI.

we are running kens xt tonight to see what it runs down the quarter now. its certainly had a hard life since he had it. wana see some vids?

yeh, vids would be good. Economy mode is just as good as power mode. Fuel usage would make a negligible difference and i've driven a few ef's and el's in my time and they weren't any quicker than a BA. I just think 3 car lengths is a gross exaggeration.

Oh and i did call ken to clarify that, and he said it was two car lengths hehe..
and when we go on cruises it gets beaten at the start by all the efs.. so it must be something to do with its mass.

also the ef was owned by ken, so it was sort of used to being snappy and going 'hard'

like I said, its a different story now hehe.. Its faster than an xr6 na ba falcon. must be something to do with its lighter weight.

also a bit of useless trivia, on that skidpan day at gympie
we did a time trial around a track there in the wet and ken and I got the same times of 1.07. the xr6 turbo managed 1.10 and so did the 12 second silvia.
we still got pwnt by a focus xr5 turbo :D

well my ef ran 15.882 tonight, ken buggered his second shift up and ran a bit slower than me but that thing reeled me in down the quarter anyway.
I would love to see one of those engines running properly in an ea or something lighter.
PWNT a lot of cars HEHE

KENS BA did a 15.7 second pass. and the ef did a 15.882 pass
so bugger all in it. there was also a modded ba xt there with exhaust extractors high flow cat and intake mods of some description - ran the same times as ken did.
just remember my car also has an lpg tank fitted and other s**t like a sun hat and spot lights HEH.
cheers
sam
