excluding practicality, just look at the space in wheel arches or lowest point of underbody - that'll tell you how much room you got to play with

in nsw the lowest part of the car has to be 100mil no lower
My mate has a custom EXA and he had allot of probs getting it low enough to look good as the pipe from the turbo sat lower than any other part of the car.

Thats the law, doesnt mean it cant go lower though. Half the people running super lows on 17's are under the 100mm clearance anyway. Ultra lows on 15- 17 inch rims would be so low that it would be very difficult to drive it on even the best of roads.

anyway the law is irrelevent in this case because he already said he isnt going to try do it to drive on.
he was just curious to see what it would look like and how far you could get it down.

Im not sure exactly how low, but i believe in one of the "show off you car" threads, there was a bloke that took the springs out of his boxcar and sat it on stockies in his driveway. cant remember his name though.

When my front shock collapsed my EF was sitting about 2-3cm off the ground at the front. The 15" rim was nearly level with the wheel arch and the tyre was tucked in high and tight. I could barely turn the wheel before the guard rubbed.
I did drive the car home after the shock collapsed and it did feel like I was leaning forward because the front was so low. I didn't take any pictures. So if you rolled the guards and had hard as rock (literally) suspension so it wouldn't move I reckon 20-30 mm off the ground is feasible, but far from practicle. |

imagine being able to crusie around at a mere few cm off the ground. It would be an experience......
