Hi guys,
does anybody know what size bolts are needed for the armrests on rear power window door trims (2 of)? Also what's the max length they can be before touching the glass when it's down. I've just done a rear conversion. It an EL. Thanks.

yeh, anything that fits.
You'll have to add a captive nut... on my fronts i cut a slit and put one of those clip nuts on... like on early holdens.

thanks horis, i tried a M8 20mm allen key bolt which did fit but thread wasn't long enough. I couldn't find an M8 35mm as Krytox advised to use but it should do the job if I can find a set of 4.

Had no luck with any M8's, too small, if I go to M10 then I need to use a socket and there's no room to go through the hole on the door trim.
Found this in the technical document section: "8 x Door Nut Rivet M6 (Available from Ford for $0.80 each) - Part Number V820134S" I'd be better off just getting them from Ford?

If they are what I think they are then you will need a riv-nut gun to install them. Essentially they are a rivet with a nut in the middle of them.

you dont need a riv nut gun to install them as this is what i was trying to explian before these are the riv nuts that secure in the door to mount the arm rest to secure to all u need to do is get a m4 or similar and tighten the nut on the back as to compress the riv nut did this to all 4 doors on my old mans gli worked a treat
