just curious if anyone has eva put a efi v8 in an ef falcon. i gotta na ltd and just wondering wats involved int putting the v8 in an ef that has a 6 in it?? will the motor slip straight in or do i hav to use the box that came with it? and is the wiring harness the same, can i just plug the v8 comp and motor straight in??

Just buy a V8 EF, would be easier.

yeah but i can pik the whole car up for under a grand. i think its an NF or sumfin, the one that looks like an ea, eb or ed

That would be an NA or NC. The NA didn,t come out with a V8, I think. The NC did.

yeah thats the one the NF is the EF version. ive heard the gearbox is different and the 6cyl box wont fit the v8 and vice versa

Yeah, there different. I think they call the V8 auto an LE95????

dunno the 6cyl is the le93 i think that le95 must b a bit more beefier. wud the whole engine and box fit straight in, and can u use the jim mock high stall in the v8 box??

If you have the whole v8 car it isnt to bad (or so I was told by someone who had done it). Being an EF the k-frame is the same so you dont need to swap that. Its pretty much just a case of stripping the I6 engine bay, then moving all the other stuff over. Have to swap the loom and ecu over as well of course.

wat do u mean by the loom? just the engine bay loom or the whole ignition aswell? will the v8 comp plug straight in?

I think (but find out first) that if you just replace the engine bay loom (goes right to the ecu) and the instrument cluster you will be very close.

a NC fairlane motor and box will fit strait into a ef. You will need to get a ef v8 eng loom a cpu and a auto trans loom a cpu.
