hey guys.
was just wondering if theres any reason my LSD wouldnt be kicking in?
on a few occasions in large empty spaces (private) ive tried to spin the wheels (when wet) and only 1 wheel has spun.
is there anything that would cause this?
is my LSD f*#ked?

is there anyway to check my lsd?
lastly, my axel breather pipe is broken. would this affect anything?

the cars an EF II fairmont giah.
it still has the 3.45 sticker on the axel, so i assume its still a lsd lol.

is the sticker yellow or white as you can get lsd and open centre diffs in the same ratios eg white sticker 3.23.1 is an open centre and a yellow sticker 3.23 is a lsd

so the main question is is the sticker white or yellow

as for the busted diff breather hose nope make a difference as i got a 3.45 lsd in my mont(out of a xr8) and belive me she bags both

If it is LSD, try changing the oil first, this sometimes helps. Do it when the diff is hot.

my au dosent always spin both wheels in the wet(lsd) especially if the car is on a angle, for some reason the right wheel will always spin 1st then the left a second later in the dry though, does that mean my diff is rooted aswell???

The idea of a LSD is to use the other wheel if one slips and loses grip, sounds like you dont have one even tho you have the yellow tag, i have seen cars that have been built and should have had the right parts but due to lack of or someone tagged it wrong.

missing the point.

'its Limited'

Its prolly worn, you can get the cones Lapped and tighter springs and this'll solve your single spinning.

IF the cars been a family saloon for years and most likely had kids 3 or more people in it + shopping most its life.. the a*** end would be a little tired.

Jack up one side of the car first. put it in neutral and try to spin the wheel "BY HAND". if its HARD then try oil first (penrite limslip 140) or (Castrol SAF-XA synthetic 140)

If its easy to turn its f#$ked! or single spinner.

Both wheels turn together, forwards or backwards.
