The EB GT and the ED XR8 Sprint, have the same ECU part numbers.
Sprint Auto ECU Part # is 92DT 12A650 DA. Sprint Manual Part # is 92DT 12A650 CA. EBGT Manual Part # is 92DT 12A650 CA. EBGT auto Part # is 92DT 12A650 DA. But there were some EBGT's that didn't have smartlock. EBGT manual part # is 92DT 12A650 GTM. 10/92 to 4/93 EBGT auto Part # is 92DT 12A650 GTA. 10/92 to 4/93. There are particular production numbers for those without Smartlock.

Also different cam. agreed , why would anyone swap backwards .re ; intake etc.. seems sus .. engine # should give year of build etc.. plus , the stock ecu may have trouble with 24 versus 19# injectors . correct me if i'm wrong , but isn't there a T stamped on the front of the heads of a ticky ? just curious... |

i havent the car back yet they are haveing probs with the stock ECU with the motor, who is to say that the xr8 ED sprint that the motor didnt have these changes b4 he installed it into the car its in now, i dont know allot about these car FORD im a real mopar man i know more about mopars than any of you know about fords.
I read the mopah bible every night b4 i go to bed and its beside my bed. i have driven ford XDS with big bloody 351s in them and i can tell you this small 302 kicks a** over some of the big block 351s i have been in. All i know is what the last owner has told me, the only reason i got the car is it had tickford and xr8 all over it, now i find out its a pissy little mont with a v8 and now the last owner tells me the motor thats in it is new to the car, and he trans planted it from an ED sprint, and has done less than 20,000ks now if im a fool be it so, i was looking for a V8 auto ford as a toy over a gay holden as i could not find the val (VE VIP V8) i was looking to find. i know this mont made a mess of a vr/vs senitor I185/I195 at the lights and jamed me fermly in the seat, (impressed the s**t out of me). This will be the LAST car i ever own if i lost it tomorrow or smashed it i would never by a car ever again. i am going to make it look like an XR8, but i will never call it an xr8. one thing it will never be is a s**t box holden. Hows this we own an 8 seater VS wagon and my wife has found any reason to drive the mont what does that tell ya lol.

no worries mate . not coming down on you ... IMO forums are for help . probs . and advice..
it's just that i hate seeing people get ripped off.. i can realise your worries from the start , eg not getting what you paid for etc.. There should really be somewhere in the forum that people can have info on what to look for , when buying a car . like EB XR8 -- don' t mean enhanced motor etc.. yep , i'm and old 351c man , and my 302 efiw impresses me too.. Hope you get it sorted |
