Hey guys,
Ive got an EA ghia.

I broke my heater core off at the firewall when I fitted the BA motor so it needs to be replaced. What else should I replace while my dash is out? I want to replace my entire air con setup as well as my car doesnt have any of that stuff left.

What can I buy new from a shop? How much can I expect to pay?

Are Gli's and ghia's the same other than the controls for climate control? If I get a gli wreck will everything work if I swap it over or are there differences between models?

heater box has different motors etc on it for Ghia as far as i'm aware.

I'm getting a new evaporator and heater core tomorrow for $200 all up.
evaporator is $120
heater core $80

take a look in the eseries Tech area, one of the stickied threads is about aircon and replacement parts.
