i am in the process of air conditioning my f100. all the heater and fan setup is rooted. i can buy a complete under dash heater/evaporator setup with remote controls. there is a choice of vents or stubs, to put ducting on. the one with the stubs looks like the go to me. i can put it under the dash out of sight. repco sells them. i think jayair is the brand. $300 ish.

not sure of the part number. it was in the jayair catalogue under evaporators. there were 4 or 5 to choose from.

that isn't the one i was thinking of vik. the one i was thinking of will probably get in out of sight. then tubes run from it to the vents in the dash.

I recently fitted a hybrid a/c system ito my XW. It had the integrated interior setup with an aftermarket sanden compressor and parallel flow condensor. I tried to look at fitting an aftermarket a/c unit as seen/found in catalogues, but could not find a small enough unit to fit under the dash without having to cut the top off the centre console or loosing knee space on the passenger side. Let me know if you are still looking for ideas.
