I have ordered all my suspension stuff for my EL XR8 and have it booked in after Easter. I have ordered:

Bilstein shocks front / rear
Whiteline swaybars fron / rear
Every bush replaced with Nolathane
Nolathane Camber Kit

and I had King Spring Superlows ordered. I have been talking to a guy today about getting my guards rolled and he said to never get King springs ever and to get Pedders as they are supposedly heaps better. I rang Pedders and the guy suggested the sports ryder low springs. Does anyone have an opinion on which ones to go for?

Luckily I think I have stopped the King Springs order in time but I am holding off on the springs until I get some opinions from people that use them. So any suggestions / opinions would be much appreciated. Also if anyone thinks I should just stick with the Kings let me know. Cheers.

Ive been running kings in mine for about 5 months now, along with some kybs and monroe fronts it feels very nice, my mate had spent almost more 2 times more than me on the shocks and springs feel very similar. I vote Kings

PS:Pedders are overpriced.

I've always used king springs, and I don't have any complaints. I have also never heard anything bad about them. Most are a nice variable rate and ride quite smooth for the extra performance they give.

Pedders are way overpriced as mentioned above.

kings would be lower... Unless you got the pedders low spring and the short strut which has the lowered spring seat.

But i think that bilsteins have the lower seat adjustable? Not sure but think someone could answer that one....

Also, i doubt many people could tell the difference between the 2 springs... They are both made from the same steel but the pedders spring does go through a more thorough stage during development.

Also, I know I'm going to open pandoras box here, but i reckon you are better of with rubber bushes as opposed to urethane. Well at least for the backend anyway.

With Urethane you should ideally maintain it, ie adding grease evry 6 - 12 months otherwise the bush will start to detiorate and may even end up damaging bolts and stuff.

And when the front lower inner bush goes, you get a really mean negative camber, so it chops through your tyre real quick.

We just recently had an EF in at work which had urethane in the front lower, and it was completely detiorated. Had turned to powder and the arm was just flopping around!!

But people have there own opinions...

I am gonna throw another brand in here. How about Lovells springs? So many contradicting views on this.
