Hi everyone...My EA Ghia has a factory 5 speed therefore it idles lower than an auto....Now my idle has stuffed up and is idling under 300rpm fluctuating lower and higher at different points of the start up and the drive. It even causes my car to stall sometimes then i turn the steering wheel all the way right or left.
I dont know wat 2 do and its killing me cause i want it running smoothly again. thanks

is your ISC working? (when you turn on AC or turn the steering wheel the idle speed should go up a bit)

most likely the ISC (idol Speed Controller if you didnt already know) just remone it and clean it out with carbie cleaner...

where about is the controller? edit: unplug it, see if it makes a difference to idle. If it doesnt, it's more then likely fooked or blocked with carbon. Can clean it out with carby/brake cleaner or similar.

WD40 should be fine
from tech docs - the Best thing to do is fill the Passageways with turps, or WD40, then cover the holes, and shake thoroughly, to ensure that both the plunger, and passageways have been cleaned. |
