Hey guys
Went to pedders today to get my suspension check as there are many knocks and noises. Pedders pretty much told me that the most of the bushes are buggered and need to be replace (which is what i expected), as well as a new steering rack, and need new rear shockies. I was expecting it to be fairly expensive but the total price came to $1500 including labour. Is this too much? Should i get another quote?

i had alot of work done to mine the other day this is what was replaced and the prices

Front Disc Rotors x2 $85 each
Front brake pads $66
Set of caster Bushes 1 $88
Front Wheel Beaking KIt $72
Stub Axles x2 $195 each
Rear Brake Pads $66
Rear Disc Rotors x2 $77 each
Seconhand Gearbox computer $250
R&R Front disc Rotors & wheel Bearings $88
R&R Front Brake Pads & Service Slides $44
Wheel Alignment Front $55
R&R Front stub Axles & Caster Bushes $264
R&R Rear Disc Rotors R&R Rear Brake Pads & service Slides $88
Cheaked Car for Thumoing on downshift (lots of dramers with this) $468

plus other things fixed and s**t loads of labor all up cost me $2457

parts seem to be cheap but its the labor thats the killer and they had my car 13 days trying to sort out the gearbox problem too up most of the time

go to a kmart and get a free safety check done, pedders will always sell you more than whats required, and kmart have a policy of beating other quotes if you need all that pedders quoted

kmart?!?! lol - stay away from them. Heard some ugly stories

quote seems reasonable to me - but get a printed quote from them and then go get other quotes based on that work from elsewhere and compare

i heard stories too, then i started working for them, they are a lot better than all the s**t that gets said about them, plus a full 12 month australia wide waranty on all work done, can't complain about that, but with what i said get a free safety check done and compair it to the pedders one, i bet pedders are trying to sell s**t thats not in any required

if ur with NRMA get them to send out a dude that will go right over your car and he will go over it with a fine tooth comb
