Can the height adjustable front seat belts from an EL Fairmont fit into an EF Futura?

yes they can. Only problem is that there are no threads in the hole which is there for the adjustable bit, atleast there wasn't in my XR6 so I didn't bother.

Yes and No, you can fit them but they won't work as being height adjustable. Much easier to get EL GLi front seat belts as they arn't height adjustable but are still colour coded.

Cool - I got a pair of grey ones that are not height adjustable at a self serve wrecker for $44 - perfect condition.

Very good price mate! Mechanic just charged me $66 (parts only) for a pretty crappy second hand one for the front left required for RWC!

Thanks for that praise, Private9 - every little bit of saving helps :)

They were second hand - I had to examine them csrefully for any webbing or anything that could be knocked back for a RW inscpection.

Also, cheap as I had to remove them from the cars myself.

Are you allowed to reuse second hand seat belts? I thought that was a big no no.

They have been either black, or cappa, or grey but height adjustable.

You can use them as long as there is no webbing or obviuos wear on them.

Some people use a cigarette lighter (whilst hot) and run it along the edge of the seat belt to clean it up - but that is dangerous.

It would be near impossible to find a new seat belt for a car 10+ years old.
