Has anyone removed the Dome Light Lense and Base from a BA Falcon (and I suspect an AU Falcon imght be the same perhaps?)

There are no obvious screws, and it doesn't seem to want to 'pop off' as easy as many other panels with pop-fixers.

Should I just pull harder? Do I need a special tool? Am I missing a screw somewhere (like in my head)? Something so easy shouldn't be so hard!

The Drink Tray is supposed to just unclip too but for some reason is requiring undue excessive force. Maybe I'll get a block and tackle to pull the bloody thing down, because I've given it quite a pull already.

I'm quite good at pulling...... ;-)

The workshop manual is particularly a*** on 'dome light removal' instructions. Thanks for clearing that up.

you may find it easier if you "squeeze" it forward if you know what i mean as you pull down. it is just clipped in and if you squeeze the clips in it will come out easier

You need to use a jewellers screwdriver to pry it off, it has two tabs which clip in luke

The clear plastic I was fine with.

My trouble was with pulling the base out. On advice, I just pulled harder and it all came out with a thud - a bit of a scary thud mind you.

Just so you know, I'm looking to drill through the lense and the base and feed through the wires for a back-seat monitor camera that will actually be 'glued' to the lense.

I have cables now coming out of the top of the B-Pillar and it doesn't look nice.
