Seeing as i'm new to the forum, please forgive me for asking this question(s) if it has already been discussed :) Just wondering what the advantages of twin throttle bodys are and whether they would be beneficial on a car like mine. (BF XR6T) Cheers in advance for any info given.

:D Mitch

It would be an advatage if the std one was Restrictive??? We know the std E.B thrttle body with turbo can make 365 +rwkw ..Then you can get bigger single t/bodies...
Dyno queens require two but imo a daily driver, they are not required.... Btw 300 rwkw is wasted on street anyway.Unless you are running sticky tyres....

its not really needed.... a bigger throttle body like a s/s vortech 1 does a good enough job..... and i would say for everyday street car with twin setup u probably wouldnt feel the difference until u pushed it and by then u would run out of road/space...... i no some1 that was thinking about a twin setup but when they got the price... im pretty sure thats wat put em off gettn it lol

i have seen a modified std xr6t plenum which had two throttles plembed into it, it had one feeding 1-3 and the other feeding 4-6, seems like a good enough theory for even air distribution.......

they were on pipes that ran off the sides of the plenum, kinda like the angle of the factory one, and the throttles were remotely fitted on the end of the pipes

have a browse on xr6turbo.com
